Expand Your Artistic Horizons and Enhance Your Aesthetic I.Q.
Springboard has partnered with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, which houses one of the world’s finest collections. Members receive an introduction and a private tour with a museum guide assigned exclusively to Springboard members. Explore our region’s many museum galleries, from ancient and medieval art to contemporary works by present-day artists. On occasion, members will have the opportunity to discover their own artistic talents during studio time. Limited to 10 members.
Sharpen Your Culinary Skills!
In partnership with Whole Foods, Springboard members learn the basics of cooking and kitchen skills. During this 5-week class, a mix of virtual and in-person activities, members will learn how to pick out fresh and nutritious food with Wholefoods department managers. Members receive a cooking kit and a list of materials to supplement it. Participants have learned to make bread, soup, desserts and other quick and easy meals with a final class in which they plan, shop for, prepare and enjoy a meal of their own creation. Limited to 12 members.
Calling fair weather fans and sports fanatics
From the Red Sox at Fenway Park and the Patriots at Gillette Stadium, to the Celtics and Bruins at TD Garden, Boston is America’s sports “town.” Both professional and college level sports in Boston offer top quality athletes and competition. Springboard members attend sporting events in and around Boston subject to ticket availability.
The World’s Your Stage
We take full advantage of living in a cultural mecca like Boston with its vibrant and diverse performing arts scene and rich community theater offerings, from drama to musicals to comedy. Springboard members often participate in talk backs—open discussions with directors and performers that provide a behind-the-scenes perspective and illuminate these thought-provoking works. Ticket availability varies.
Prepare for Your Next Adventure
Past Springboard Travel Club destinations have included Rome and surrounding cities in Italy; Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland; and London, England, touring the sites and connecting with locals for a personalized tour of their cities. Future trips include France, Italy and Spain.
Unleash Your Creativity
We explore a variety of art mediums. Past projects have included everything from floral arrangements and pottery to painting and collages but looking ahead, the sky is the limit. All projects are suitable for every skill level. We provide the instruction and materials—you bring your imagination and be prepared to discover talent you didn’t know you had.
You Heard it Here First
Jazz, rock, classical, pop, hip hop—we believe music, like people, should never be limited by labels. So, Springboard Music Club members share familiar tastes and find new favorites through concerts, dance and other performance arts. We visit a wide range of venues and explore the diverse music scene throughout Greater Boston. Sometimes, we make our own music with sing-alongs, accompanying ourselves on musical instruments.
