SPRING FORWARD…

Springboard Social Club is a unique group for individuals with high functioning autism and learning differences as well as other social support needs. This welcoming, supportive environment builds confidence, expands your social life. Our members get to try new experiences from oyster shucking to rock climbing; to choose activities they enjoy (think dinner and a movie) and to make friends for life.

What Makes You Unique Makes Springboard Different Our members make Springboard different from other social clubs. We see abilities, not disabilities; individuals, not labels. Many of our members make friends for life. The bonds they develop inspire us.

Small Groups Facilitated by Professional Leaders Springboard members are matched into small groups which meet several times per month, facilitated by professional group leaders who provide planned social activities and skill building opportunities. Our energetic group leaders facilitate friendships and encourage members to try new things and discover untapped interests.

In addition to fun group meetings, specialty clubs provide members with a chance to focus on individual interests from cooking, arts and sports to music, theatre and travel.

“We’ve had lasting friendships that have happened outside of Springboard. That is what is important to me, that they’re developing true, authentic friendships. We have had members who have married. That’s not the sole purpose of it but it shows the strong connections and authentic relationships.”
-Nicole Leontakianakos, Springboard leader since 2012
