Human Resources Generalist

Location: Boston Metro
Type: Full-time/Part-time

The Human Resources Generalist is an integral position within the Human Resources Department, and will report to the Vice President of Human Resources.  He/she will assist the Vice President in all Human Resource functions, including, but not limited to: recruitment, systems organization and other Human Resource functions as they occur. 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Possess knowledge of each department’s individual needs.
  2. Be familiar with all vacancies within the agency and the available schedules.
  3. Maintain a database of all candidates in Great Plains.
  4. Input and color code applications into Human Resources data base. 
  5. Prepare new employee booklets.
  6. Enter all training information into Human Resources data base.
  7. Create above and beyond awards for employees.
  8. Design, distribute and maintain job opportunities’ flyers for internal and external recruitment efforts. 
  9. Copy printed materials and correspondence. 
  10. Attend required trainings and scheduled supervision meetings.
  11. Assist the Vice President of Human Resources in other Human Resource functions as they arise.
  12. Post jobs on line at a variety of colleges and universities.

Qualifications:

BA preferred.  Two years’ experience in Human Services or related field.  Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.  Proficient computer skills required. A current driver’s license and a car are required.  Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.  Excellent telephone skills required. Strong organizational skills required.  $22/hr Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
