Maintenance and Facilities Tech
Description:
TILL provides essential support to adults with developmental disabilities, learning differences, acquired brain injury, and other specialized needs through a wide range of housing options, from structured, staffed, small group living to individualized support options. The purpose of this position is to project the vision and mission of the agency in a way which clearly represents its core values and culture both internally and externally.
The Facilities and Maintenance Tech is an integral part of the agency staff. The Facilities and Maintenance Tech reports to the Director of Facilities on a daily basis to discuss scheduling, finances, and work orders.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair exterior and interior of building and grounds of each TILL program site
• Purchase materials for repairs
• Knowledgeable in appliance repair
• Transport furnishings and materials to program sites
• Handle renovations for program expansion
• Obtain estimates when specialty contractors are required for buildings, e.g., licensed electrician, snow removal, and garbage pick-up
• Do other special projects as determined but the Director of Facilities
• Supervise and schedule heating maintenance
• Assist with clearing of snow as needed
Qualifications:
• Valid driver’s license and car required
• Experience in property repair and maintenance necessary
• Must be physically able to do a variety of manual labor assigned
