Summer 2024 Paid Internships

TILL, Inc. is offering paid summer internships to teens and young adults - between the ages of 18 and 24 - to introduce them to the field of human services. This experience is a great addition to your resume and may interest you in a career human services, supporting people with developmental disabilities. This career field has exciting opportunities, ranging from direct support staff, nurses, occupational therapists and physical therapists - to positions in human resources, technology, facilities, accounting, graphic design, social media and more. About the Summer Program

The summer program starts in late June/early July and runs for 10 weeks. Our team at TILL will work with you to match you to positions that interest you and introduce you to the scope of programs and services that TILL provides. The ideal candidates are young adults interested in exploring career options, who are eager to work and make a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

What the work is like

Positions in our day and residential programs give interns experience providing direct support to the people we support in a team atmosphere, with an emphasis on community engagement through outings and volunteering. Positions in our administrative office provide an overview of the infrastructure that is needed to operate a large human service agency and provides training in specialty areas. Summer interns can earn experience in one or more of the following positions as part of the career exploration goal of the program:

• Residential Support Professional (RSP) 
• Day Support Professional (DSP)
• Administrative Roles:
  • Human Resources
  • Technology
  • Accounting
  • And more!

Qualifications:

• Candidates must be 18-24 years old and be willing to commit to a 10-week summer internship. No experience is required, but candidates should be interested in exploring the career of human services and embracing our agency’s mission of supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 
• Applicants must have a valid driver's license and a reliable form of transportation

Compensation:

• Positions start at $20 per hour. 

Funding for this internship program is made available through a partnership with the Urban Youth Collaborative Program, an initiative of the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (MA DDS) to introduce the wide range of career paths in human services to teens and young adults
